Fishing is fun for all ages (usually over 7 years old) and will be enjoyed by the entire family. Our rockfish and ling cod trips are the best for beginners and fun for the experts. The high limit of seven rockfish, plus 2 ling cod gives everyone plenty of chances to reel one in. They can give you a good fight and taste fantastic.
Our Salmon fishing trip is the next up on the list. It is a little more difficult than the rockfish and ling cod trips for a couple of reasons. When you get a salmon on, they don’t stay put. They go crazy. You will likely have to chase your fish up or down the side of the boat, going over or under your neighbors. Following crew instructions is key here to success.
Our combination trip is the next difficult trip, but still very family friendly. You get the action of both the salmon trip and bottomfish on the same day.
Next up the skill ladder are the halibut trips and the deepwater special. These trips are not for smaller, more frail people. The gear is heavy, the water is deep, and it takes a lot of effort to bring up a big one from deep water with heavy gear. Kids could still come on this trip, but they would need to be older, bigger kids, probably 14 and up.
The albacore tuna trip is the most difficult, due to a few things. The trip is a long, overnight trip. The fish are very strong and hard to land, but with crew instructions, we have faith in you. This trip not recommended for rookie fishermen. It is, however, in the minds of many people, the most fun fishing experience they have ever had.
